Equipment

Outside exhaust headers, luggage trunk, chrome wire wheels, dual sidemounts. Polished aluminum beltline accent. Bears a 1975 AACA badge and looks to have been restored about then and very carefully maintained and lightly used since. Good cosmetics, handsome and practical Murphy open coachwork. A Duesenberg that deserves to be exercised.

Market commentary

This bid would have been about $490,000 with the buyers commission, falling well within the range of recent open Duesenberg sales. Its Murphy body commands a premium, but the older restoration holds back its market value as anything but a tour car. Realistically, it could have been sold for a this bid without regret.
