Equipment

Dual chrome wrapped sidemounts, chrome wire wheels, wide whitewalls, single Pilot Ray, luggage trunk. An older concours restoration that shows age and use. Good cosmetics, trunk covering scuffed and cracked on edges. Rust in both righthand door bottoms. The Elvis Duesenbergs battery failed on the way to the block and there was none installed when the buyer picked it up on Saturday morning. Its now the battery not included Duesenberg.

Market commentary

Reported sold at Monterey in 1993 for $551,250. Its condition has deteriorated a little since then and its price is up ... but not much, and the new dealer restorer will have it back in concours condition in a jiffy.
