Equipment
RHD. Brushed wheel discs, polished EB monogrammed fuel can on right running board, giant luggage trunk, dual rear spares, Marchal lights, windshield visor. Coachbuilder unknown. Restored in Germany to indifferent, museum display, standards with a fair repaint over old paint and dull nickel trim. Good interior showing little wear. Chassis old but clean and orderly.
Market commentary
Burdened not only by its frumpy unknown origin coachwork but also by a tank full of aged gas that had turned to varnish in the tank, this Bugatti had to be pulled across the block and attracted no interest whatsoever. Even at Montereys nearly $3 gallon prices a tank of fresh gas seems like a pretty modest expenditure when presenting an automobile of this value.
