Equipment
RHD. Smiths trip chronometer, Jaeger tach and speedometer, dual spotlights, cycle fenders, dual rear spares, Black painted wire wheels, radiator stoneguard, center mounted Bosch driving light, halogen bulbs in headlights, electric cooling fan, dual windshield wipers. One of just 24 built and 10 with superchargers. MM history in 1928, 1929 and maybe 1930, then to Tripoli, the US and England. Many MM Retros right up to last year.
Condition
Restored a while ago to attractive touring standards, then toured. Said to have a fresh mechanical rebuild for Euros 50,000. Nice, and very presentable, car with a delightful history, ready to be used enthusiastically.
Market commentary
Gentlemen may differ about value and while the buyer reasonably stopped at just under $850,000, the seller also reasonably declined Euros 620,000. That assumes they were doing their sums in different currencies, for which I have no evidence at all, but is the kind of reasonable difference which can keep deals from being done.
