Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Dual sidemounts, rollup division, rear window shade, drum headlights, whitewalls, varnished wood luggage trunk, bamboo side window blinds. Originally owned by Mary Ford, wife of movie director John Ford. Stored by the second owner. All there and sound but in need of comprehensive attention. Much nickel trim is down to the brass. Front seats have been replaced but rear is original. Sound interior wood with curdled varnish. Repaint peeling badly. No Reserve.

Market commentary

Elegant and well preserved, the new owner got a fine example of Brewster coachwork on the Springfield Rolls Royce PI chassis for a modest price. It will be rewarding to drive and show as is for a while and will be lovely when ultimately it is restored.
