Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Marchal headlights, folding windshield, dual aeroscreens, Silver painted wire wheels, rear-mounted spare, cycle fenders.

Condition

Believed to be Elizabetta Junek's 1928 Targa Florio reconnaissance car, later owned by Dr. Peter and Susan Williamson. Tired old paint, cracked old leather upholstery, antique aircraft style seatbelts. Aged.

Market commentary

Sold by Gooding here in 2008 from the Williamson collection for $198,000, this is a tired old car, but also an honest one even if the Junek story can't be verified. The Pebble Beach auction bidders seem to have bought the story, however, and paid a premium price for it.
