Equipment
Dual sidemounts, metal luggage trunk, drum head and cowl lights, 4 wheel brakes. Old repaint hasnt stood up as well as the interior. Nickel trim is dull. Chassis shows use and age. Museum displayed for some years, it will need a complete mechanical freshening before it becomes the handsome and competent tour car it could be and it needs even more work to be shown proudly.
Market commentary
Offered at the Leake auction in Tulsa in 1993 where it brought a bid of $73,000 against a $90,000 reserve. In this aged and long dormant condition uncertainty is a significant factor in bidders minds and uncertainty in a car like this can be very expensive. It is not surprising that the bidding was measured and restrained.
