Equipment
Like most early Millers, this cars early racing history is unclear. Origilly unblown, the supercharger was probably retrofitted in period. Restored by Edgar Roy in the late 60s, then to Carl Bross and Anthony Bamford from whom Bob Sutherland acquired it in the early 80s. Frequently demonstrated including the 1993 Monterey Miller meet. Engine recently dismantled for a rebuild and needs to be assembled; believed to have all its parts.
Market commentary
A rare and wonderful piece of American racing history and an example of Harry Millers genius. These little Miller 8s domited American race tracks for years and inspired a generation of engine designers. Theres plenty of work to be done putting this car back in running order, and some risk that parts may need to be made. Potential buyers may have felt more comfortable with a more leisurely assessment of the projects complexity.
