Equipment
Tommy Miltons land speed record car, built with only a driveshaft brake to reduce air resistance at speed. Set two records at Muroc on April 4, 1924: 151.26 with the 183 Miller and 141.17 with the 122. Discovered by Tiny Gould in Philadelphia in the late 60s after being raced by Jimmy Gleason in the late 20s on the East Coast. Acquired by Dave Uihlein in 1975, largely complete but without its engine. Instantly identifiable by the righthand steering arrangement and lack of brakes. Restored for Uihlein with a 122 Miller and chromed suspension. Sound old paint and interior. David Uihlein collection. No Reserve.
Market commentary
This is a bargain price for such a complete and historic rear wheel drive Miller. It needs work before it is put back on the track, but it will be a rewarding project.
