Equipment
One of four cars raced at Indianapolis in 1923, this one by Count Zborowski. Some subsequent racing history with Zborowski, Duller, Barnato and R.V. Fontes. Eventually restored by Hamish Moffatt and Uwe Hucke over many years with engine 5 from Indy Bugatti chassis 4006 and Indy style bodywork. Body offset on chassis, single ignition 1,991cc, sohc, 3 valve head inline 8 cylinder. Plenty of patina, fair older repaint, 2000 Prescott Hill tech sticker. Ready to go, the last survivor of the 23 Indy Bugattis.
Market commentary
This isnt, by any measure, a cheap Bugatti but for a racing car with known history in both Europe and at Indy it is a very good value.
