Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Created by Count Louis Zborowski on a pre WWI double chain drive M B frame with 18.8 liter WWI Benz aircraft engine. Extensively used by Z to tour Europe, once lapped Brooklands at 108mph. Largely origil but tired from disuse and display at Ellenville and Crawford museums. Runs and drives; doesnt stop worth a damn.

Market commentary

A fantastic piece of motor car history. Count Lou origited the aircraft engined Brooklands monsters; Chitty IV became Babs and killed Parry Thomas at Pendine Sands. Money on the car at this bid, but it probably takes $1.5M to make it happen.
