Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

2 wheel hydraulic brakes, Jones speedometer, New Haven clock, nickel trim, A sound and well used tour car that has been updated for tours and enthusiastically was used by James Cont for years. Paint cracked and stone starred on front fenders but still very usable and presentable. Seat seams pulled and passengers seat back torn but repairable. A great driver with a recent engine rebuild by Stuart Laidlaw. Titled as a 1913 Locomobile. James Cont Collection. No Reserve.

Market commentary

Even for such a storied Locomobile, and one of the great pre Great War American cars, the bidders enthusiasm brought the price to an exceptiol level. Still, its condition and presentation are such that it should have many enjoyable miles in front of it, and that is worth paying for.
