Beautifully done now showing age but limited use. Some paint chips at panel margins on doors and on body scroll detail. Lint in fender paint. Good upholstery, glass and nickel but brightwork will benefit from polishing. Engine is tidy and sharp except for some oil residue. A beautiful, subtly liveried, tasteful car.
Market commentary
Bidding opened at $250,000 but didnt linger there long. Despite the repro coachwork, mechanically this is a highly original, correct Silver Ghost restored by experts and a winner of multiple show awards. It is one of the better maintained cars in the Paine collection and has been running fairly recently (at least by Seal Cove Museum standards) so it should take little either mechanically or cosmetically to put it back into great condition. A fabulous Rolld Royce which brought a generous but entirely appropriate price.
