Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. 471 cubic inch inline six, 4 speed, Grey & Davis octagon bezel electric lights, Klaxon horns, nickel trim, 37x5 BFGoodrich Silvertown tires, dual spares on the rear deck, hinged windshield. Restored by Harrahs, later owned by John Mozart and Matt and Barbara Browning. Very sound and presentable albeit with some evidence of the restorations age. No Reserve. Otis Chandler Collection.

Market commentary

Bought for $446,000 at Christies auction of the Matt and Barbara Browning Collection at Pebble Beach in 2000, this transaction reflects a rate of return that does a number on inflation, if not the S&P 500.
