Quality older restoration with good paint, interior and chrome except for some paint cracks on the bodywork. One of the cars Rolls Royce built for the Delhi Durbar when King George V and Queen Mary came to India after his corotion. Acquired by the Maharaja of Mysore, rebodied in Bombay with this formal parade body which is one of best known of all Silver Ghosts. Featured in 20 Silver Ghosts. 1994 Pebble Beach class winner. Prior owners include James Leake and Millard Newman. Richard Solove Collection, proceeds to Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Market commentary
Reported sold by World Classic here in Monterey in 1993 in a post block transaction for $525,000. It brought a lot more than that today and it deserved every penny.
