Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Built by Walter Flanders who had sold his piece of the E M F automobile company to Studebaker for a cool million dollars in 1911. Belt drive, 30 cubic inch single, cushion spring front fork. The motorcycle as basic transportation, restored some time ago to nearly like new condition. No Reserve. Otis Chandler Collection.

Market commentary

This motorcycle owes as much of its transaction value to its ex Otis Chandler provence as it does to the motorcycle itself or its restoration. An interesting piece of American motorcycle history, but not a very important one.
