Equipment
One of two Fords that competed in the original New York to Seattle endurance race in 1909, and was later disqualified for having the engine replaced en route. Restored in the late 1970s early 1980s, then competed in a re enactment of the original race in 1983, and rarely driven since then. Some corrosion starting to creep out between the front spring leaves, minor corrosion on the outside of the acetylene tank, paint in very good condition except for some chipping around the headlight mounts. Period aftermarket Rushmore headlamps, and non period performance paper element air filter.
Market commentary
Another historically significant Model T from the Woodhead collection that defies any price guide. Given this cars history and eligibility for some of the most important events it is a sound value at this price.
