Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Triple Elliot, nickel trim, Lucas King of the Road head and side lights, jump seats, dual windshields. An older restoration with some miles on it that was never up to U.S. show standards. Paint chipped off under fenders from gravel spatter. Sound and usable as is, though. Three rows of fixed seats plus jump seats. Body origilly on a Mercedes chassis. One of only four known 1908 Rolls Royces, restored from the engine found in Australia. Richard Solove Collection, proceeds to Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Market commentary

It is impressive that something as impressive as this could be built up from an engine alone. It also is impressive that something built up from an engine along could be worth nearly $1.5 million.
