Equipment
RHD. Saxon acetylene headlights, Solar kerosene side and tail lamps. Contracting band drum style friction shocks. Warner drum style Auto Meter speedometer. No windshield. Wonderfully origil and complete except for the missing right side mounted spares, new tires and battery. Four owners from new: the origil owner, A. Wentworth Erickson and his son until 1973, then George Waterman, then Jim Cont. This pier still has its origil dirt and the pinstripes on the leaf springs. An astounding example of preservation. 2000 Pebble Beach Preservation class winner. No Reserve. Otis Chandler Collection.
Market commentary
The bargain of the sale, even at this price. This is a where will you ever find another one but, more than that, it is a strong, fast, powerful 60hp automobile that will have anyone who appreciates fine old machinery in awe of its quality and preservation. In 1906 Rolls Royce was struggling to measure up to the standards set by pier. An astute acquisition.
