Condition
Exceptional body and paint work Show quality chrome plating except crazed door handles Top fits very well and interior is barely worn Restored first in the 50s for Homer Fitterling, then again in the mid 90s Prize winner at Pebble Beach in 2004 An older restoration with excellent cosmetics but ago and some miles showing on the chassis and underbody
Market commentary
Sold by RM at Arizona four years ago in 2010 for $385,000, then at Amelia in 2011 for $352,000, its in no better condition (and conversely, no worse) today which makes this result exceptional. Could it be the curl of a wave recognizing the quality of Chryslers beautiful classic Imperials If it is, its none too soon.
