Equipment
RHD. During some of its existence, it was part of the Warner Bros. movie fleet. Restored to the highest levels when added to the Woodhead collection 15 years ago, shows no signs of wear or usage at all. At its only showing, it won first place overall at Meadow Brook.
Market commentary
Very rarely have these first model Fords come on the market, and when they do, they are usually sold on private treaty. The most recent auction sale came at Kruse Scottsdale in 2002 when a single headlight Model A restored to comparable condition but showing a little patina brought $82,680. The price here is expensive, 73% more than the previous sale, which belies the commonly held belief the market for antiques is soft, particularly where Brighton Run eligibility is part of the bargain.
