I grew up with five brothers and no sisters (me being next to the youngest) with a mom of all moms (who's name was Dorothy) who never showed favorites and who's unconditional love for us all never wavered. Realizing now what I took for granted back then, there is nothing more important to a child than the love of there parents and especially there mother. She was the happiest when she was with us and our friends, whether it was a party or spending time on the river boating and skiing.
As we grew and more of our friends were around she became known, to our friends, as Miss Dot. So when it came time to name my boat there was never a doubt, in my mind, what it would be "Miss Dot".
