Jamie S 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Indy Pace Car 2dr Sport Coupe

That Dream of Finding your Classic Car stored in Someone's G

Months of shopping for the right one, and hours from purchasing a car we weren't 100% happy with but one that would do. 10pm my son comes to me with his phone and said mom I have found it. So made the phone call. Yes this car is all original I have had it in my garage for the last 28 years and have put only 6000 miles on it for yearly servicing and small drives. I just sat there thinking, this is what people dream of. His asking price was 8700.00 and I had only saved up 8000.00 for my son to fulfill his passion with buying a car that he could had down to his children. As hear that this car has the same 1982 spark plugs and air filter I just sit amazed, I finally asked the gentleman, I don't mean to disrespect you but I have only saved up 8000.00 for my son to go towards a car would you be willing to sell this 1982 all original Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Indianapolis Pace Car. And he said yes, I looked at my son and gave him thumbs up and he started crying with happiness. I arranged to meet the next day and drove 3 hours to meet him, on meeting the car was even more than I expected a beautiful piece of history sat before us.

This car had the rare disc brake option the rare back window wiper was fully loaded and was just breathtaking. After getting it home I asked my son to look under the passenger seat to look for the build sheet and there it was, the wholly grail.

4 days after purchasing we are headed to a car show in St Louis MO

My son is estatic

Great story and what a beautiful car. I remember growing up and a neighbor had a iroc-z 28, blue. A beautiful car. I can relate to appreciating a classic and then finding a well cared for example. I am sure this one of yours is in good hands. Enjoy.
