Dad operated a 76 Union service station on the north side of town and added a small used car lot to the side lot. He usually had 2 or 3 used cars that he took interest in for himself but would sell them too. Most every day a man and his son would walk by on their way to picking up beer and pop bottles, and stop in to visit and ask what Dad would sell the cars for . Dad knew they didn't have the means to buy one, so one day the man asked what Dad was asking for the 1925 Studebaker coupe. Dad said "I'd take four bits" for the car. He sold it to the father and son , and filled it with gas too.
