The celebrity life of my 55 CHEVY

I traded a 67 NOVA SUPER SPORT for this 55 CHEVY BELAIR when I was 19. I have rebuilt it three times so far. I started with a 350 and a 400 turbo. Next I installed a 396 with a 400 turbo. The last rebuild I installed a 454 with a 400 turbo, a narrowed PONTIAC rearend with positraction, power steering with tilt wheel, air conditioning, new interior and a ALPINE sound system. My best friend Steve painted the car red and white IMRON in my garage. The car turned out so good I started showing it. The first time it showed I came in second place. The man who won supplied the trophies for the show! During the show the local news station did a segment on the car show and used my car for the interview. So my car was the only one out of 700 cars to be on TV. Later that year at a show at CHURCHILL DOWNS the newspaper did a article on the car show and took pictures of my car and used them in the paper. CHURCHILL DOWNS used those same pictures for a brochure about their track. So my car has been on TV, in the newspaper, and in a brochure for CHURCHILL DOWNS! I showed my car about 50 times and have the trophies to show for it. I have won best of show, best interior, and have won my class at most shows. This car is so much fun to drive and turns heads everywhere I go. I am currently working on a 57 BELAIR that I have also owned since I was 17 years old.
