A Commitment To Forever

My wife Maureen and I eloped in a 1970 Chevrolet Impala 2 door custom coupe in 1979. We were young and everyone said it would not last. Here we are 36 years later and our commitment is as strong as ever. We, sadly had to sell the Impala for more dependable transportation but in 1989, for our 10 year anniversary, my wife gave me a cigar box with a set of keys and a title. I thought she was just showing me old stuff that would bring back memories, until I heard her say "The flatbed is here, where do you want it?". Huh, and on the flat bed out front was a 1970 Chevrolet Impala convertable that needed help. I was so proud, that I got to work and 1 year later it looks like what you see. Now all cars are like raising children, they all want money, and your never done. But, like children, they are a labor of love. We have fond memories of our Impala and being in the convertible bring back so many memories. We were young and no one would rent us a room, so the car doubled as the honeymoon suite. Well hope our story inspires other to find "that" car that moves them and get started. But remember, it is a love affair forever. James and Maureen
