I was restoring a 1957 Chevy 2 door hardtop (Sport Coupe) with a four barrel power pack 283 V8. It started out unknown to me as a 210 but with the Bel Air aluminum quarter panel trim. To make it correct I had to track down the various trim pieces unique to a Bel Air. The 350 V8 was replaced with a numbers correct '57 283. The day finally came five years after starting the restoration with new paint, plating, upholstery, etc. The one thing lacking was the elusive original air cleaner for the 4 barrel carb. Since I have other collector cars, we attended a Ford-Mercury Restorers sponsored swap meet in search of parts for them. Out of the blue my wife spots the Chevy air cleaner I needed partially hidden under a table on the ground. "She" negotiated a price of half of what they normally sell for to my amazement!
