Back to my youth.

This past spring I started thinking about buying a hot rod or classic car. I had a 1957 Pontiac Chieftain before I went into the army in 1961 and another 1957 Pontiac Chieftain when I got out. They were the most-liked cars I owned when young. I had always thought that, if I got a classic car, it would be great to have a 1957 Pontiac Chieftain.

I spent some time searching the Internet looking for cars. I found a couple I was interested in, but after sending email for more information, I got no replies. A couple of friends of mine knew I was looking for a hot rod or classic car. I got word at my fitness club to contact one of the friends as he had come across a car I might be interested in. I sent him email and a couple of days later got a response from his wife. She said he had seen a 1975 Pontiac for sale at a local auto repair facility. I had no interest in a 1975 Pontiac. However, after my workout a couple of days later I dropped by the repair facility. I cannot tell you how surprised I was to see this 1957 Pontiac Chieftain parked out front with a For Sale sign on it right here in my town. It had a frame-off restoration about 18 to 19 years ago and still looks brand new. I have not yet driven it without have positive comments about it and/or a thumbs up by folks who see it. I am very glad I decided to check out the "1975 Pontiac."
