I originally had a 1978 280Z that I drove until I couldn't smog it anymore in California. 312,000 miles later, while looking for a car to 'part out' to restore my original Z, I headed to Santa Cruz to see a car listed on Craigslist. Much to my surprise, I found this gem. It was owned by a school teacher (original owner) that used the car for her commute to Monterey. After a fire in their home, they decided to sell the car instead of putting it in storage. When I arrived to check the car out, I was totally blown away. Everything was original and it only had 16,500 miles. Original paint, OEM stickers on everything, the factory stamp on the bottom of the bumper, original spare tire tools and even a can of air for the 'donut tire'. Needless to say, I bought the car and she's been mine ever since. She now has 22,300 miles and still runs great. After a few 2nd place awards in local car shows, she actually took 3rd place at the 2013 Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance. What a wonderful surprise!!
