While our '48 Ford F-1 was under restoration my wife, Janice, briefly noticed and liked a '28 Model A Ford Woody street rod that the guy who wired our truck had built.
Without her knowledge I arranged to buy the Woody and had a friend drive it to our ranch on Christmas morning. The sound of the aoogah horn announced it's arrival, complete with a big red bow on the headlight bar. She was totally surprised.
We kept the Woody for about 15 years and put nearly 15,000 miles on it in spite of the fact that it had no side windows. She sold the car shortly before she passed away with cancer in 2012.
