I ordered this car from Kumpf Lincoln/Mercury in early 1966. It had a 390 cu. in. engine and a four speed. It was a daily driver for a number of years and then I decided to restore it as close as I could to what it was when we drove it home in 1966. I did all the work myself except the paint. During the re-build I installed a four barrel manifold and Mickey Thompson valve covers and got the car running. I have a friend who is a master machinist and I asked him if he could engrave my name on the valve covers. As you can see in the attached picture, the letters of my name are raised letters, not engraved. Needless to say, the car gets a lot of attention at the various cruise ins around Denver.
