Russ A 1929 Ford Model A 2dr Coupe

Model Ambrose

We bought the 29 Coupe when my daughter was 2 yrs old, so as far as she was concerned there was always a "Model A" that daddy was working on in the garage. The Coupe was the first car we ever restored , also it was the first car I had ever worked on, Restoration took us the better part of 3 years and when it was finally complete, we took it to the Silver Springs Fl. Ford and Mustang Roundup for its first show. My daughter now at the ripe old age of 5 , was enjoying the Park and all the people coming to appreciate the Model A, One gentleman was checking out the car and chatting with my daughter ( again she was only 5), the man thought he was going to Stump my daughter when he asked her if she even knew what kind of car she had. My Daughter didn't bat and eye and piped right up with the answer that the car was in fact a "MODEL AMBROSE" , and no amount of talking by this man would change her mind as to what type of car it was! 20 + years later the Coupe is still affectionately referred to as the Model Ambrose.

Great car and great story. Always great when you can teach the kids the value in these classic American vehicles.

No better way of raising the new generation of car enthusiasts than involving them young in a Model A restoration.

Cute story about making car restoration a family project. I wonder if she's driving "American Made" today...
