Arnold P 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4dr Sedan

They're not making Chevys, they're making Fords!

I worked in a Chevrolet garage in the 1950's and when the first V8 came out in 1955 the Chevrolet mechanics were appalled. "No king pins, but ball joints!" they said "That ain't gonna hold up, and open drive shaft! A V8 with spark plugs under the hot manifold, they're making Fords now!" I was sort of their opinion until I had my first opportunity to test drive, and I was amazed at how peppy it was and how well it drove and handled. The other mechanics soon fell in love too. It's easy to see why the Tri-Fives have remained so popular
