My dad just bought a new 1954 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe. He had won a '53 Plymouth in a raffle and he thought it would be a good time to buy a new car, trading his '51 DeSoto as well. One of the first outings in the car was to take the kids for a ride. Well my dad was driving down Mt. Lebanon Blvd., a very populated area, when he decided to floor the car. I seem to remember we hit 100 on that street and I remember he asked us to roll the windows down In an effort to slow the car down. I am sure that didn't work, but the memories have lasted a life time!
