The memories that are yet to be made

I have always loved the old style cars and hoped that one day I would be able to own one. My son (17 years old) and I just picked up a 1946 Plymouth Special Deluxe last weekend 7/5/14. So not too many memories have been made yet. The body is in good shape, the motor purrs, but the interior needs a lot of TLC and that is where we will spend most of our time in restoration. As for the memories, I don't think I will ever forget how excited he was, first when I agreed to buy the car (we had been looking for something for 2 years), and second, the whole ride up (3 hours) to pick it up and trailer it home. He couldn't stop talking about how cool it was and how he was looking forward to working on it with me. We have taken a few rides together in it and whether he is sitting in the front seat or the back seat there is just a big old smile on his face. He can't wait to drive it himself but first has to learn to drive a three on the tree. I am looking forward to many hours in the garage with him, working on the car and talking about life in general. I am sure we will have lots of memories from this experience.
