Kay B Chevy Malibu 1966

The loss of the love of my life and how he lives on now

3 years ago I lost the love of my life, husband of 34 years and father of my child; my husband, Greg Bosch. Our life together always had his car in it. It was his 1966 Chevy Malibu he received as a graduation gift from his grandmother, who he cared for. The car was his first and was our life. He showed it regulary, worked on it always, and dragged raced it from time to time. He always wanted to go on the Hot Rod Power Tour as a member of the long haul gang. Finally in 2011 we were able to afford the trip. It was a great time for him. 3 months later he passed away unexpectedly. He always said he wanted to be buried in his car but Michigan laws would not allow it. We decided that his ashes would live on in that car as my son took over the showing of it and it is to be passed on to my grandson. It will always remain a part of our family. In his memory, I purchased a replica of my first car, a 1967 Mercury Cougar. I show it with my son as a tribute to the love of my life.

I love taking my dads car out as much as possible everything from when I was a little kid to the present day reminds me of my dad. Being in his car makes me and my family smile the whole time. Love you dad. :-)
