Restoration finally complete

It was a hot Summer day in 1986 and I was just 16 years old. My neighbor down the street had a 1975 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350. It's paint was faded and tattered, and it had some rust, but I did not care. I loved the body style and I knew the cars potential. I asked him if I could buy the car and he said yes. Man! I was excited! My first car was a true muscle car! It was purchased for a meager $1,500.00, but to a high school boy it was a fortune, so the man agreed to let me pay $100.00 each month to ensure that I would get the car. He was a good man who knew that I had no financial resources with which to depend.

As the years passed, I ended up in college and working at K-mart and I would always manage to purchase parts, tires, chrome, seats, etc. know it would take a long time to fix it. More years passed as it sat in my parents basement for decades, but I never gave up!

After college I got married, had a child, and both of my parents passed away in 2009. The car ended up in my garage and I used a big portion of my inheritance money to see my dream of a restored car come true. Deep down I know my parents would approve. Well it is fixed and I am so happy. I plan to give the car to my son some day. We both take it to car shows. It is a dream come true!
