My best memory as a child is when my mom would take me everywhere in her 1963 Corvette. As a small child I can remember riding in this passenger seat looking through this windshield with child’s eyes watching an innocent world pass by. Mom would take me to A & W hamburger stands and drive through dairies picking up milk. We went so many times to the drive through car wash that the paint was worn off the fenders showing the brown primer below the paint. I think she went through the car washes because I loved to see those big rollers go round and round.
When my mom passed away at 70 years old I became the owner of the car which I still have today. I always think of my mom whenever I look at the passenger seat and think, “That’s where all the good times happened, riding down the road with my cool mom in her 1963 Corvette”. She would be so proud to see this story and know that her car still belongs to her in my mind even though my mom is not with me anymore.
