Jerry M 1956 Morgan

In memory of my dad, George Morgan, who restored this Morgan

My dad was a car man since the day he was born in 1931. He worked for Ford Motor Company his entire career, and as the family moved around with his job he found old cars, and restore them the motors and all. My mom used to tell him to get those cars out of the driveway. Well, the Morgan's eventually ended up in North Carolina, and my dad was blessed enough to create the workshop of his dreams. At one time during the height of his restoration frenzy, the work area was home to a 1965 Mustang and 1955 T-bird and 1931 Ford Model A and of course the 1956 Morgan, which at first he thought was in 1957 :-) This Morgan was his pride and joy, and I remember he encouraged us all to pose with it several times for the annual Morgan Christmas card :-) He was proud as proud can be of this car, and in his legacy, it is still here with his two sons looking after it. Rest in peace dad, you too mom! Good thoughts to all of those who have lost their loved ones, yet have the memories that make them laugh and beam with pride.

I love the car and the legacy. Now, if my name was Morgan, I would buy your car immediately!

I love Morgans. My friend's family has one, but this is quite a storyline here. Nice to see a bit of history attached to a great car.

Great story. Recall riding in it when him. Loved the "soft"ride! Want sure it would still be there as he kept telling us it would be his casket. Just put him in the driver's seat and slope the grave so he could drive it right into it.

A good man and a great car. I had a few rides in it around the development and it was almost as much fun riding in as my MGB was. Will miss seeing George driving past the house on sunny summer days.

Sounds like there was more than one classic Morgan in your family home. What a beautiful way to honor your father's memory.
