Every year , since my kids were little , a tradition was to drive to the Stan Hywet Father's Day car show in Akron , Ohio. In 1995 ,my daughter - the usual rider - was with me on our 25 mile trek . We were talking and laughing , as usual. We arrived and found our parking space and placed the car. I usually did the wire wheels - a big job with 72 spokes per wheel. But this I year was different Becky spoke up and said " Dad - I will help. My fingers are nice and small and I can help ". Not only did we work as a team to get the detailing done on the wheels , but it was a singular father daughter bonding that continued right thru college Although busy with medical school now , we always remember the time she volunteered to help her Dad .
