Woodward in the early to mid 60's was a social mystical journey that was repeated night after night. At that time it wasn't unusual to see girls hanging half way out the passenger window counting down a drag race from a 20 mph. roll. The drive in's made it possible to hear the action as you ordered the cheapest thing on the menu just to stay parked. At that time an order of cold-slaw at Teds was 35 cents. This allowed more money to be spent on gas, to spend more time on Woodward and so the cycle went. Relationships were made on Woodward that often lasted a lifetime.
