Growing up our parents share their wisdom, their lives, their passions with us.
Sometimes as a life lesson, sometimes as a learning tool but often we also hear their regrets.
I can't tell you how many times I heard my Dad say, "I wish I still had my first new car". Well, I'm in my mid-fifties now and I will NEVER have to say those words.
My first new car was and still is a 1979 Camaro sport coupe with a 305 and a 4 speed transmission. After all these years and just under 40,000 original miles I still get in, turn the key and drive her. She still looks great and drives just as it did, (a bit better actually),
It's not an exotic, it's not a highly valued collectable but for me it was and will always be, "My first new car" and it still sits in my garage and I can drive it whenever I think of my Dad.
