My Dad ordered the 1965 Mustang convertible shown in the picture for my mother in early 1965. I remember the day the car was delivered, and my parents picked me up at school on about the last day of school in May. I was 13 years old when the Mustang came into our family, and the Mustang was my mother's daily driver for years. My mother was involved in a traffic accident around 1972 while in the Mustang, but the car was repaired. My father decided to trade the car for a 1973 Pontiac Granville and had the Mustang sold, but I spoke up for it. I was recently married and needed a second car, so the Mustang became my daily driver for several years while I was in undergrad school. I held on to the Mustang rather than trade when I bought another car a few years later. The old car isn't perfect and has a little rust in it, but it still runs and drives great. I'm afraid to restore it and will probably do some repair for some leaks that developed over the years. The picture was made in 2011.
