After owning three Corvettes (2000 Hardtop, 2003 ZO6, 2006 ZO6), I decided to pull money out of the stock market an acquire my dream car, a 1967 427/435 L71 coupe. Since this would be an investment grade car, it would have to be numbers matching, original drive train, and documented.
After a year of much disappointment, many hits and misses, and several "fake" cars, I finally found a "real" L71. My car has 17,000 original miles, a Bloomington Gold score of 98.1, an NCRS regional score of 97.2. The engine, transmission & rear end are all original. The car is frame off restored and beautiful.
Since purchasing the car, I have been driving it a few times a week. Angels in heaven could not make a sweeter sound than the roar of the sidepipes as I run through the gears.
Life is truly good!
