I was in the US Air Force in the late 60s and found myself in need of a car. I had grown up a Chevy guy (my Dad was a Chevy man), but by this time I had worn out 3 Bow Ties. Since Uncle Sam didn't pay a lot, my new Father-in-law said he would help me get a car. He took me out car shopping...to a FORD dealership! Turns out he was a dyed in the wool Ford man. I wasn't thinking too much of my situation, when the salesman showed me a little '67 Mustang Coupe, 289 3 speed. I took it and my Father-in-law for a "RIDE" that neither us will forget. He was glad to get out of the car...I never wanted to get out again. I was converted to a "Ford Man" on the spot. 45 years later, I still have that Mustang. I restored it for my son for his 16th birthday, and he drove it through high school and college. Then it came back home. It still runs like a dream, and I get lots of "thumbs ups" when I take it out. Mustang made a Ford Man out of me.
