I bought my 1986 Mustang GT (with T-tops) slightly used in 1987. I had just turned 40 and decided that I needed a modern V-8 before they became extinct, which seemed likely then. One day this pretty car showed up in a newspaper ad. It became my first Ford.
A special car deserves a special name. Pegasus is the flying horse of Greek mythology. Mobil Oil Co. took that symbol, made the horse red, and it was their trademark. So my red Mustang V-8, my flying red horse, became Pegasus. We've traveled another 100,000 miles in the summers since then, surviving encounters with drunk drivers and floods.
