My son and I not only share a passion for cars but we also share similar cars specific to our own generations. Ironically, I was born in 1965 and my car is a 1966 Corvette Roadster. My son was born in 1995 and his car is a 1996 Corvette Roadster. A 30 year separation in our age is matched by a 30 year separation in our cars ages. Even cooler is that both are triple black roadsters with the optional engines that were available. Mine has the 427/425 HP backed by an M22 4 speed and his includes the Gran Sport optional engine backed by a 6 speed.
While we have yet to line these two up against each other, the bench racing debate is brought up frequently. (We all know the '66 with the 427 would win but we will let him dream).
There is still hope for our hobby if we get the younger guys involved!
