For as many years as I can remember, I have always owned a toy: 1970 Buick Skylark (my grandmother's car), assorted VW's, a really fun 1970 Austin Mini, and now my current "prize," a 1967 Chevy C-10. One of the first vehicles I ever drove was a 1969 of the same ilk, 6 cylinder with 3 on the tree. When it came time to part ways with my Mini (before it rusted into the ground), I set my sights on this style C-10. There was a false alarm, purchased from someone who had the same name as me (figured there MUST be good karma), but the truck died on the interstate and I sold it on the spot to the tow-truck operator. Thankfully, I have a supportive lady, and 9 months later 'ole grey rolled into the yard. The truck was creatively road worthy from day-one and since then has been a work in progress. I think the old girl likes me because she has never let me down. I am careful, respectful, and kind; being almost 50 is a feat in itself! I don't want to bring the truck back to showroom condition-- just a good looker that brings smiles as the miles pass by. So far so good!!
