I have always been a car nut all my life. A friend told me about this car setting in a storage warehouse and took me to see it. It was love at first sight, after the test drive around the block I just had to have it. The owner liked the 1956 chevy I had in my garage and told me we could make a trade. Well to make a long story short the car was dropped off at my home the very next day.
My wife and I took a drive in it one night together and she told me that she would like for the car to be brought up to todays standers. The 1947 Ford was all stock with a 90 hp flat head engine and a three speed transmission. After our ride my wife told me to get a bigger engine and a automatic transmission and have power steering and power brakes installed along with air condition.
Seven months latter the car was back home and we were off to the car shows. We won four awards with the car. Now that winter time is here in Indiana it seems like a good time to get the interior changed so we removed all the interior and took it to a local interior shop that had done the interior on our 56 chevy. The interior will be done and installed within the next three weeks. Just in time for some car shows and late night cruising with my lovely wife at my side.
The following changes were made to the car after the trade:
New 350 crate engine
New 350 transmission
New ford nine inch rear end
Power disc brakes
New air condition
New mustang II front suspension
New light gray tweed interior.
