My husband and I were stationed in Fort Story, VA. He was a LARC operator in the Army. We didn’t have a car so we walked everywhere. We passed the Ford dealer one day. We walked in and saw a 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. He pet that thing. He couldn’t take his eyes off of it. He was in love. It was really quit funny. Some day I am going to own one of these.
Thirty years later the kids had grown up and we now own a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. It is snow white with navy blue interior. It is an original 6 cyl. Automatic. It is a dream come true. Because we met and fell in love at the A&W Root Beer restaurant we display those items all over the car. We also put the drive-in speaker from the movies on the door and play rock n roll music out of them. Everyone loves our car and our set up. We love our Ford Mustang. So much we also have a Red 1965 Mustang.
Every three years we do "Cruise Paradise" on the big island of Hawaii. We ship our Mustang there and have ten days of sheer joy with all the car events. A dream vacation in our toy to top them all. It is every three years and the next one is last week of June first week of July of 2015.
